Chodesh Elul Relationship Pictures
Item Number: HOYMN12-RL009
Date Submitted: 05/09/2014
A series of pictures of items used on Rosh Hashanah and their sources. Possible Uses: 1. This sheet will help students understand where the things we use on Rosh Hashanah come from. The teacher will explain to students where honey, shofars, and apples come from, and explain the process of what happens to the item until it is ready to be used for Rosh Hashanah. Teachers will have students color this sheet as an extension of the lesson. 2. Teachers may also want to use this sheet to create a file folder game: Cut out the boxes, color them and glue the ram, tree, and bee in a vertical line onto the file folder. Laminate the file folder as well as remaining pictures. Attach one side of a piece of Velcro across from each picture on the file folder. Attach the other side of Velcro onto the shofar, apple and honey pictures. Have students use as a matching game.
