Master of ceremonies Rabbi Binyomin Holland began the evening with thanking the hosts, Eli Davis and his rebbitzen, for hosting this Melava Malka for several years, and for making this Melava Malka as beautiful as possible.
Rabbi Holland continued, by quoting his father-in-law, Rabbi Dovid Nojowitz, as saying that the best part of every Torah uMesorah weekend, is the Melava Malka with rebbeim.
Harav Yosef Eichenstein, Rosh Yeshiva in Edison, N.J., then spoke (timestamp: 4:00) about being the best rebbe we can, and illustrated with stories.
Harav Gershon Miller, Mashgiach at Gateshead Yeshiva, Gateshead, UK, then spoke (timestamp: 24:30). He began by saying that the rebbes present are at the front lines, and we are entrusting them with our children every day from morning to night.
He talked about knowing the needs of every child and allowing their neshamahs to be themselves, and understanding them, and communicating your understanding to the child.
