These unique Purim puppet sticks represent the five main Purim characters: King Achashveirosh, Mordechai, Haman, Queen Esther, and Queen Vashti. These puppets are the perfect artwork spark student’s imagination as they act out the Purim story from an original play (attached)! Goals and Objectives:	Students will be able to understand, conceptualize, and retell the story of Purim while creating these fun puppets, and acting out the Purim story.

Materials Needed for PUPPETS:

(5) Wood Dowels 12” x 3/8” (Joann Fabrics)
Acrylic Paints, at least 5 colors of your choice
(5) 12” Wire Yarn
(5 pairs) Googly Eyes
Embellishments: Buttons, flowers, sparkly foam, gems, pipe cleaners, and sequins
Black Felt (very small: 1”x1”)
(4) Flower decorations
Buttons (handful - in variety of colors)
Tacky Glue

Materials Needed for THEATER:

Shoebox (Students bring from home.)
Red Fabric: 12”x24”
(4) Clothespins
(4) Pompoms
Fancy Cord 9” long
Acrylic Paint (Purple)
Paintbrush
Tacky Glue
