Observing that Oil and Water Do Not Mix in Parashas Ki Sisa
Item Number: CRSHM14-RS037
Date Submitted: 04/23/2015
Oil was used in many capacities in the Mishkan. In this parshah, we learn that oil was used to anoint the vessels of the Mishkan as well as the Kohanim. This is a good time to explore the properties of oil. The students will fill a plastic bottle with oil and colored water to prove that oil and water do not mix. Oil is less dense than water and will therefore remain above the water.
