Color code your textual instruction to help facilitate student learning with this Tanach Skills sign. As you teach each lesson, have students identify important words, phrases, and sayings by highlighting them in the book for easy reference when studying later. Blue is for “on who or what is the pasuk talking about.” Yellow is for conversations or who said to whom. Green is for the words in the pasuk that the commentators refer to. Pink is for important phrases to memorize, and orange is for important words.
