This educational aid demonstrates Serach bas Asher playing on a harp. She was asked by Yaakov’s sons to play on a harp to let Yaakov know that Yosef is alive. By gluing the strips of paper to the harp to mimic the harp strings, it will strengthen visual spatial and eye-hand coordination skills.

Goals and Objectives: The student will learn that Serach bas Asher was asked by Yaakov’s sons to play on a harp to let Yaakov know that Yosef is alive. Yaakov’s sons were not comfortable to relay the message themselves and didn’t know how to say it. Also, they were concerned how he will be able to handle the news at his advanced age.
Skills Needed: Ability to follow directions, Fine motor skills
Skills Developed: Students will strengthen their visual spatial and eye-hand coordination skills. They will develop their educational information in Parshas Vayigash.
