Looks real enough to eat! An inexpensive napkin ring made out of Sculpey Clay (PVC clay, completely free from chametz ingredients) makes an adorable addition to your Pesach table. Kids will love how easy it is to make such a beautiful project.

Goals and Objectives: Students will replicate the process of baking matzah while creating a visual prompt for discussion that is also a useful implement.
Skills Developed: Students will gain fine motor skills (kneading, rolling, painting, poking holes), focus on task, ability to follow instructions and planning behavior.

 

 
  • 3/4 of a 2 oz. block of Sculpey Polymer clay. If you have a Michaels nearby, their store brand is cheaper and works beautifully.
  • A fine-tooth comb
  • Brown acrylic craft paint
  • Paper towels
  • Oven preheated to275°
  • Optional but helpful: kitchen parchment paper
  • Optional but helpful: rolling pin or straight-sided glass
