Use this 3D foam shofar as a hands-on activity to familiarize your students with the basic customs and concepts of shofar, as well as build anticipation for the upcoming Yamim Noraim. Discuss when and why we blow the shofar and how the shofar is a wake-up call reminding us to work on improving ourselves. As the students stitch the two pieces of the shofar together, introduce the concept of achdus, unity, as it relates to Rosh Hashanah. In order to be judged favorably, we must unite together in achdus and not be divided and separated.
